The album has been released by Jam/UnJam , a new Italian label created by the will and passion of Bernardo Mattioni, a professional in the fields of indie/mainstream discography and management. and distributed by Universal Music. Jam/UnJam aspires to be a new recording space for sounds close to jazz, but also to experimentation and contaminations in the Italian music scene and market, trying to mix languages and approaches of the contemporary music industry.

The album was born after extensive research and writing. Although its matrix comes from the world of improvised music, various elements of electronica, ambient and 20th-century music are grafted onto the solidly jazz framework, moving casually between the usual definitions and categories; double bass, piano, drums and bass clarinet blend their timbres with synthesizers, samples and ambient recordings, straddling digital sounds and a love of analog.

The Invisible Painters embody the gesture of artistic creation, the unconscious and instinctive impulse it generates, the invisible hand and brush with which the artist creates extemporaneously. It is in this balance between awareness and instinct, composition and extemporaneity that the music of this new group is born.

"Only at the moment when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things" (E. Degas).
